The Hill - Part II
My third book is finally finished and available for purchase. For this one, I decided to go completely independent. Well, that’s not entirely true. I still had an editor and proofreader, thank goodness, but I handled all other aspects on my own. Things like cover design, formatting, various accounts and other tasks that oscillated between boring and frustrating. I agonized over every decision I made, never feeling certain about any of it, but that’s business as usual for me. If the day ever comes that I am 100 percent sure about something, it will be a miracle.
Anyway, this book is my longest yet, roughly the size of the first two combined, so I hope you have some time on your hands.
Someone recently pointed out that all of my books are slow burns. I like that. I never analyzed it much, but that’s the type of story I prefer, and when I write my books, I’m simply writing something I want to read, something I can settle into for a while and enjoy the leisurely ride. In fact, I like to think of my books as a slow climb up a gentle hill. When you finally get to the top, you turn around and the view is a pleasant surprise.
Hopefully, you’ll enjoy the climb as much as I did. Now, quit wasting time and go read my book!
