My last book, Small Town Ghosts, was released in May 2022. And now, here we are in April 2024 and I’m still not close to finishing my next book. I’m not sure what happened.

No, wait… I’m very sure what happened.

A while back, I had two book ideas. The first was something bigger, darker, and more substantial than anything I had done before. As the story developed, I had high hopes that this would be the book that might someday land at a large publishing house. The big leagues!

In order to stand out from the crowd, I feel like I need to change it up a little. How does Kevin McAwesome sound? Good? No?

My third book is finally finished and available for purchase. For this one, I decided to go completely independent. Well, that’s not entirely true.

The hardest part of writing a book is everything that comes after actually writing it. Editing, refining, marketing, and, worst of all, finding a title. So far, I haven’t been great at that part. I mean, it’s just a title. It should be the easiest part of the whole process, right?

It’s not a secret I had no idea what I was doing when I wrote my first book, The Hill. I was learning as I went, hoping for the best.
